What are my responsibilities?

You must be present to sign the inventory before our movers can load your possessions onto the truck. You must also be present at the time it is unloaded. If you are not present at the appointed time, you may be charged while the movers await your arrival or they will be delivered to storage and a fee will be assessed. The driver will require payment at your new residence. They will accept cash, certified check, or credit card approved in advance. The driver will request your signature on all the delivery documents. In the event of any loss or damage, please not the items involved on the inventory document. You may also be responsible for any items packed by you in boxes you provide.

We are flying to our new home. Can Nationwide move my cars?

Our expert Houston movers will transport cars, boats, motorcycles, canoes, camper shells, boats and boat trailers, and a variety of other large, bulky items. However, weight additive charges may be made for articles whose weight is not commensurate with the space they require, such as hang gliders, boats or canoes.

Is there anything Nationwide Movers won’t transport?

Nationwide Movers, Houston, will not accept any articles that may damage or contaminate our property or the property of other customers, such as propane tanks, guns, ammunition, other weapons, chemicals, or bug infestations. We will not remove articles that may cause damage your house or your belongings, such as refrigerators or other appliances too big for safe passage. Further, we will not accept liability for perishable items such as food, plants, wine collections, etc. If you have any doubts or questions about something, call us. High-value items such as jewelry may require extra insurance to be transported, or you can opt to keep them in your personal custody.

I am single without a lot of belongings. Are you apartment movers?

When should I call Nationwide, Houston?

We encourage all our customers to contact us as early as possible to maximize their relocation experience. Typically, we prefer to schedule your move at least one to two weeks in advance. The greater the lead time, the better we can properly address your concerns or any difficulties which may be inherent with your move. However, should you need to move today, we can help with that as well.

I’ve contacted Nationwide Movers, Houston. Now what?

Nationwide Movers, Houston, will schedule an in-home visit with one of our expert booking agents who will perform an assessment of the belongings you would like us to move. Factors which influence the quote include the volume and estimated weight of your possessions, packing supplies required, and any bulky items or special handling required (i.e, big screen TVs, motorcycles, hot tubs, etc). They will provide you with an estimate and a contract, a booklet called Your Rights and Responsibilities When You Move, and answer any questions or concerns you might have.

When do the packers come?

Depending upon the extent of your possessions, our professional packers will arrive with the industries best packing materials one to two days prior to your scheduled moving date. Be sure to separate those items you intend to transport from those meant to be packed to avoid any confusion or inconvenience. On moving day, the foreman will inventory all items to be moved and provide you with a inventory form. Once you have carefully reviewed this and your other paperwork and provided your signature, the loading process will begin.
